Roujol Brings Deep Brand-Building, Marketing and Customer Experience Leadership
Ditto, the leading recommendation and virtual try-on technology platform for eyewear retailers and brands is delighted to announce that Odile Roujol joined Ditto’s Board of Directors in late 2019. As Ditto Technologies continues to strengthen its position as a global technology leader in the eyewear category, Roujol has brought profound insight into creating a customer experience and B2B2C brand that will build trust and loyalty among end-users of the technology platform.
Roujol is a veteran in fashion, beauty, and technology. Most recently, she founded Fab Co-Creation Studio Ventures, a fund that invests in early-stage direct-to-consumer fashion and beauty brands. She also founded FAB, the fashion and beauty technology community gathering more than 5,000 founders and investors in the Beauty and Fashion industry with 15 chapters worldwide. She is on the Advisory Council of Scotia Bank, the third-largest bank in Canada. She was previously the Chief Strategy and Data Officer at Orange, the French telecommunications giant servicing customers in 30 EMEA marketings with 350 million customers and a market cap over $40 billion, where she reported to the CEO. She previously served as SVP of Brand and Communications and SVP of Marketing for the company. Before entering the technology and telecommunications field, she spent a large part of her career with major brands in the field of beauty and luxury as an executive with L’Oréal, Yves Saint Laurent and Bourjois (groupe Chanel). While at L’Oréal, she managed the Lancôme brand in France and the United States becoming CEO/President of Lancôme International in 2006, the number one worldwide cosmetic brand in luxury retail. She is a graduate of the HEC School of Management in Paris with an MBA in Marketing & Customer Experience.
“Odile adds a valuable dimension to our board with her strong background in brand-building and marketing,” said Kate Doerksen, cofounder and CEO of Ditto. “Her operational and strategic insights and focus on the customer add tremendous value as we mature our product offerings and accelerate into the next stage of growth to make eyewear more personal and accessible for everyone.”
“I am honored to be on the Ditto Board of Directors. They have very exciting technology and are well-positioned with top retailers globally,” said Roujol. “The company’s opportunity to change the way customers discover and buy eyewear makes this role even more rewarding. Ditto is poised for tremendous growth, and I enjoy leveraging my experience to help enable that growth.”
Ditto was initially connected with Roujol in 2018 through The Athena Alliance, an organization of top women business leaders working to diversify boards, develop executive women, and create businesses that are built for the future.
