Ditto Lands $82M to Pioneer the Edge-Native Revolution
The future of computing isn’t in the cloud - it’s at the edge. And with this latest funding round, we’re poised to make Ditto the new standard for edge development.

Today, we’re excited to share that we raised $82 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round to continue pioneering the edge-native revolution. The round was led by Top Tier Capital Partners and Acrew Capital, and included participation from Thomas Tull's U.S. Innovative Technology Fund (USIT), True Ventures, Amity Ventures, Fundrise, Friends & Family Capital, Advance Venture Partners, and Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ).
When we launched Ditto, our founder and CEO, Adam Fish, envisioned a world where edge devices could work together independently - communicating directly and staying in sync without reliance on central systems. This investment is a testament to that vision and the progress we’ve made as the first fully edge-native mobile database with built-in resilient mesh connectivity.
We made some great strides this past year:
- Grew our customer base by 2x and ARR by more than 3x
- Launched an official partnership with MongoDB
- Selected for a STRATFI opportunity with AFWERX, the innovation arm of the Department of the Air Force
Edge-native technology isn’t just the future - it’s already here, transforming the way businesses connect, sync, and operate at the edge.
Edge-Native Matters Now More Than Ever
The need for enhanced privacy, reduced network congestion, improved customer experience, and optimized operational efficiency, not previously possible with centralized infrastructure, is accelerating the need for edge-native development.
- Over 2 billion deskless workers power industries like aviation, manufacturing, retail, and logistics.
- Global edge spend is projected to reach $378B by 2028, up from $228B in 2024
- AI is accelerating the move to edge computing, with real-time, on-device processing becoming a critical requirement for next-generation applications.
When data syncs break down, systems slow or halt altogether, and productivity and revenue suffer. This need for edge computing and sync is pushing businesses to rethink their architectures. That’s why large-scale enterprises like Chick-fil-A, Delta, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, startups like POS company Spont, and nonprofits like ShareMy.Health choose Ditto to build ultra-resilient applications that thrive at the edge and keep operations running smoothly, no matter the network conditions.
Continuing Momentum: Partnerships and Team
We’re looking forward to strengthening our partnerships—starting with MongoDB. As the official mobile partner of MongoDB, Ditto provides the recommended replacement for their former edge product, Atlas Device Sync (formerly Realm). Together, we built the Ditto MongoDB Connector, which offers real-time, bidirectional data synchronization between edge devices (or mesh of edge devices) and MongoDB Atlas.
We’ll continue developing our ecosystem of cloud database partnerships, ensuring that businesses across industries can transition to edge-native architectures without friction. We’ll also continue our work with government and national security partners.
In addition to strengthening our ecosystem, we’ll continue growing our global team. With our newest office in Atlanta, we’re excited to collaborate with more tech hubs. We’ve since built a world-class team around a shared set of values - trust, communication, and continual improvement. These principles guide everything we do and are instrumental in our rapid growth and success.
Join us in the Journey
The future belongs to applications that can operate anywhere, anytime, regardless of connectivity. That’s what Ditto is building. And with this latest funding round, we’re poised to make edge-native computing the new standard for businesses at the edge.
